	African Darter (Anhinga rufa) is related to the Anhinga, more familiar to North American observers. This bird is an excellent swimmer and feeds upon fish. The photos shown here were taken with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II & EF 500mm F/4L IS lens and 2X extender at the Polokwane Bird Reserve near Pietersburg, Limpopo Province, South Africa, in January, 2006.
