The African Mourning Dove (Streptopelia decipiens) is a widespread and common dove over parts of Africa. The two images here were taken at Shakawe on the Okavango River, Botswana, in October, 1998, with a Canon EOS 1N and EF 300mm F/4 L IS lens and 1.4X extender on Fuji Sensia film.
