The Amber-winged Spreadwing (Lestes eurinus) is a fairly widespread damselfly across the northeast third of the United States as well as parts of southeast Canada. It occurs west to Kansas and south to Georgia and Alabama. The shots here, digital images of a male, were taken in Tuscarawas Co., Ohio, in July, 2005, with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 300mm F/4 L IS lens and a 2X extender and 580 EX flash.
