	The Bateleur (Terathopius ecaudatus) is an eagle encountered across much of southern Africa. The one shown here was seen along the roadside near Lataba camp, Kruger National Park, Limpopo Province, South Africa in January, 2006. The photo was taken with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II & EF 500mm F/4L IS lens and a 1.4X extender.
