The Black Percher (Diplacodes lefebvrii) is a widespread dragonfly occurring from parts of southern Europe and Asia into South Africa. The four shots here were taken in January, 2006, in South Africa, with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 300mm F/4 L IS lens and 2X extender and 580 flash. The shots of the males were near Malelane, Mpumalanga Province. The first female was near Vaalwater, Limpopo Province and next female was at Nylstroom also in Limpopo.
