The Brazilian Skipper (Calpodes ethlius) occurs in the United States across much of south and east Texas and along the coast to Florida and up the eastern seaboard. It ranges south to South America. The top image on the left was taken at Austin, Travis Co., Texas in November, 2007, with a Canon EOS 1D Mark III and an EF 300mm F/4 L IS lens and 2X extender.
