The Brown-headed Parrot (Poicephalus cryptoxanthus) is a species restricted in range to parts of southeast Africa. The one shown here was in Kruger National Park, Mpumalanga Province, South Africa in January, 2006. The photos were taken with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II & EF 500mm F/4L IS lens and a 1.4X extender and fill flash.
