The Chestnut-breasted Coronet (Boissonneaua matthewsii) occurs in the highlands of northwestern South America in Columbia, Ecuador and Peru. The images shown here were taken near Machu Picchu, Departmento de Cusco, Peru, in July, 2006, with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 300 mm F/4 L IS lens and 2X extender in July, 2006.
