Well, when you have an itch you have to scratch! This Chinstrap with an itch on the top of its head was at Bailey Head, Antarctica, in January, 2002. The image was shot with a Canon EOS 1V and
EF 70-200mm F/2.8 L IS lens on Fuji Velvia.

The Chinstraps on the left (top) were walking along an iceberg at Elephant Island, Antarctica, in January, 2003. This was a digital shot with a Canon EOS 10D and EF 70-200mm F/2/8 L IS lens. The next Chinstrap was on the shore of Elephant Island. |

The two shots above showing two chicks with an adult as well as a mating pair were digital captures at Hannah Point, Livingston Island, Antarctica, in December, 2003 with the same gear as described above.

The bottom shot shows several Chinstraps with a large chick on Aitcho Island, Antarctica, in February, 2005. This was shot with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 70-200mm F/2.8 L IS lens. |
