The Comanche Dancer (Argia barretti) is a fairly common but somewhat local damselfly occurring along rivers in the Texas Hill Country. It also occurs in parts of Mexico. The photo of the male and pair in tandem here were digital captures in October 2003 on the Guadalupe River near Ingram, Kerr Co., Texas with a Canon EOS D60 and EF 70-200 mm F/2.8 L IS lens with a 2X extender 550 EX flash.

The below shots were taken at the same location as above during October, 2004, but with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and an EF 180mm F/3.5 Macro and 1.4X extender and 550 EX flash.
