The Eland (Taurotragus oryx) is one of the characteristic large mammals that one may see when visiting game parks in parts of southern Africa. The images shown here were taken with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 500 mm F/4 L IS lens in January, 2006. These shots were taken near on a game reserve near Malelane, Mpumalanga Province, South Africa.
