The Fawn Darner (Boyeria vinosa) is a resident over much of the eastern United States. The brown body with the two yellow spots on the thorax are quite distinctive. The shot on this page was a digital capture with a Canon 10D and EF 70-200 F/2.8 L IS lens and 2X extender and 550 EX flash in the Sam Houston National Forest, San Jacinto Co., Texas in late May 2004.
