The Fiery Skipper (Hylephila phyleus) is a common grass skipper across much of the United States except in the far north and the Rocky Mountain regions. The top two shots here were taken in Austin, Travis Co., Texas, in May, 2003, with a Canon EOS 10D and an EF 180mm F/3.5 Macro lens.
