The Flap-necked Chameleon (Chamaeleo dilepis) is fairly common and widespread over parts of southern Africa. It is most easily found as it slowly crosses a roadway. Unfortunately, many are killed by vehicles. All the images shown here were taken in Limpopo Province, South Africa with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 300 mm F/4 L IS lens in January, 2006.
