The Giant Plated Lizard (Gerrhosaurus validus) is a lizard of open, rocky, dry habitats across parts of southern Africa. The individual here was photographed at Kruger National Park, Limpopo Province, South Africa with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 300 mm F/4 L IS lens in January, 2006.
