The Glistening Demoiselle (Phaon iridipennis) is a large damselfly which occurs from central and west Africa into n.e. South Africa and down along the east coast to about Durban. The individuals shown here were photographed along the Crocodile River, Nelspruit, Mpumalanga Province, South Africa, in January, 2006, with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 300mm F/4 L IS lens and 2X extender and 580 flash.
