The Gould's Inca (Coeligena inca) is considered by many ornithologists to be a separate species from Collared Inca (C. torquata), however, some still treat the two as the same species. The image shown here were taken near Machu Picchu, Departmento de Cusco, Peru, in July, 2006, with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 300 mm F/4 L IS lens and 2X extender in July, 2006. I was only able to get this one shot on that occasion.
