The Green-backed Ruby-eye (Perichares philetes) is tropical skipper which is a rare stray to deep south Texas. The top three shots on the left were taken in southern Tamaulipas, Mexico, in December, 2004, with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 300mm F/4 L IS lens and 2X extender.
