The Hagen's Sprite (Pseudagrion hageni) is a beautiful African damselfly occurring from portions of central and west Africa to the southeast coastal region of South Africa. The images shown here, three shots of males and one shot of a female, were photographed in Blyde River Canyon, Mpumalanga Province, South Africa in January, 2006, with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 300mm F/4 L IS lens and 2X extender and 580 flash.
