The Kiowa Dancer (Argia immunda) occurs from Texas and Oklahoma westward. The top photo here of a male was a digital capture with a Canon EOS 10D and EF 70-200 mm F2.8 L IS lens with a 2X extender and 550 EX flash on the Balcones Canyonlands NWR, Burnet Co., Texas in June 2003. The bottom photo, of a female, was also a digital capture in Travis Co., Texas in June 2003, but using a 180 mm Macro lens and ring flash.

The below shot of a pair in tandem, was taken in October, 2004, near Ingram, Kerr Co., Texas, along the Guadalupe River, with a Caon EOS 1D Mark II and an EF 180mm F/3.5 Macro and 1.4X extender and 550 flash.

The male Kiowa Dancer on the left was in Austin, Travis Co., Texas, in October, 2007. This shot was taken with a Canon EOS 1D Mark III and EF 300mm F/4 L IS lens and 2X extender.
