The Laviana White-Skipper (Heliopetes laviana) is a south and central American species which regularly shows up in south and central Texas. The shot on the left was taken at Fort Clark Springs, Brackettville, Kinney Co., Texas, in May, 2005, with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 180mm F/3.5 Macro lens.
