The Lesser Yellowlegs (Tringa flavipes) is a shorebird which winters in parts of the southern United States as well as Central America. It breeds in Canada and Alaska often in tundra areas. The top 6 shots here show a spring migrant Lesser Yellowlegs which had made a stop in Austin, Travis Co., Texas, in April, 2008. These shots were taken with a Canon EOS 1D Mark III and EF 600mm F/4 L IS lens and 1.4X extender.
