The Long-tailed Sylph (Aglaiocercus kingi) occurs in highlands of northwestern South America from Venezuela to Bolivia. The images of a male shown here were taken near Machu Picchu, Departmento de Cusco, Peru, in July, 2006, with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 300 mm F/4 L IS lens and 2X extender in July, 2006.
