The Mexican Wedgetail (Acanthagrion quadratum) occurs from south Texas, where it is rare and local, south to Nicaragua. The two shots of a male shown here were taken on the King Ranch, Kleberg Co., Texas, in October, 2004, with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 300mm F/4 L IS lens and 2X extender.
