The Natal Sprite (Pseudagrion spernatum) occurs from some areas of east and central Africa into South Africa. The species frequents edges of streams and rivers especially in upland grassy areas. The shot here was taken near Dullstroom, Mpumalanga Province, South Africa in January, 2006, with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 300mm F/4 L IS lens and 2X extender with a 580 flash.
