The Orange Banner (Anaea eurypyle) is a tropical species which is a rare visitor to deep south Texas. The image on the left was shot near the coast of the Gulf of Mexico in southern Tamaulipas, Mexico, in December, 2004, with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 300mm F/4 L IS lens and 2X extender.
