The Ostrich (Struthio camelus) is one of the signature birds of southern Africa. The three young birds on the left were photographed in October, 1998, in Etosha National Park, Namibia. The photos were taken with a Canon EOS 1N & EF 300mm F2.8L lens on Fuji Sensia 100. The shot immediately below was taken on the Polokawane Nature Reserve near Pietersburg, South Africa in January, 2006, with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 70-200mm F/2.8 L IS lens.

Both below shots below are from Kruger National Park, South Africa, in January, 2006, with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 500mm F/4 L IS lens.
