The Pale-chanting Goshawk (Melierax canorus) is a fairly common species of the acacia and thorn scrub areas of southern Africa. This bird was photographed in Etosha National Park, Namibia, in October, 1998 with a Canon EOS 1N & EF 300mm F2.8L lens with a 1.4X extender on Fuji Sensia 100. The lens was resting on a bean bag from a vehicle window.
