The Peruvian Pelican (Pelecanus thagus) occurs along the west coast of South America. The one shown here was photographed in the town of San Antonio, Chile, in January, 1999, with a Canon EOS 1N and EF 300mm F/4 L IS lens with a 1.4 X extender on Fuji Velvia.
