The Pronghorn (Antilocapra americana) is the only native North American antelope. It is essentially western in distribution, occurring from the grasslands of the great plains westward nearly to the Pacific coast. The individuals in the top three shots were photographed near Marfa, Presidio Co., Texas, in September, 2005, with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 500 mm F/4 L IS lens.
The Pronghorn on the left was near Fort Davis, Jeff Davis Co., Texas in September, 2006. This image was taken with the same gear as above.
The two female Pronghorn on the left were photographed at dawn in a native grassland in north Texas in Lipscomb Co. This shot was taken in April, 2007, with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 600mm F/4 L IS lens.
