The Red Squirrel (Tamiasciurus hudsonicus) is the smallest tree squirrel in its range and occurs across most of Canada as well as Alaska and much of the western regions of the lower 48 states. It is also known as the "Pine Squirrel" and "Chickaree" in some areas. This individual was photographed near Loomis, Okanogan Co., Washington in June 1998, with a Canon T90 and a Canon 400 mm f5.6 lens on Fuji Sensia.
