Within the United States, the Rose-bellied Lizard (Sceloporus variabilis) only occurs in deep south Texas. It is found across much of Mexico as well. The top 4 shots on this page were taken at Santa Ana N.W.R., Hidalgo Co., Texas, in April, 2008, with a Canon EOS 1D Mark III and an EF 300mm F/4 L IS lens.
