The Rufous-crowned Sparrow (Aimophila ruficeps) is a resident of much on the American Southwest and parts of western Mexico. The shots shown here were taken at Caprocks Canyon State Park, Briscoe Co., Texas, in December, 1998, with a Canon EOS 1N and EF 600mm F/4 L lens and 1.4X extender on Fuji Sensia.
