The Ruffed Grouse (Bonasa umbellus) breeds across most of Canada and parts of the northern United States. The Ruff Grouse here was walking along a roadside at Lost Lake, Okanogon Co., Washington, in June, 1998. It was photographed with a Canon T-90 and FD 400mm F/5.6 lens on Kodachrome 200.
