	The Secretarybird (Sagittarius serpentarius) is also called Secretary-Bird by some authors. The species is widespread across the savannah, steppe and other open grasslands of Africa. The bird shown here was the Polokwane Nature Reserve near Pietersburg, Limpopo Province, South Africa, in January, 2006. The shots were taken with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II & EF 500mm F/4L IS lens and 1.4X extender.
