The Semipalmated Plover (Charadrius semipalmatus) is widespread over most on North America. The alternate-plumaged individual shown here was photographed at McFaddin Marsh N.W.R., in May, 2001, with a Canon EOS 3 and EF 500mm F/4 L IS lens and 1.4X extender on Fuji Velvia.

The Semipalmated Plover on the left was at Gulliver's Cove, Nova Scotia, Canada, in September, 1992. This shot was taken with a Canon T-90 and FD 400mm F/4.5 lens on Kodachrome 200 film.

The Semipalmated Plover onthe left was at Quintana, Brazoria Co., Texas, in October, 1998. This image was taken with a Canon EOS 1N and EF 300mm F/2.8 L lens and 2X extender on Fuji Sensia film.
