The Slaty-tailed Trogon (Trogon massena) occurs on the Atlantic slope of s.e. Mexico to the Honduras and into northern South America. The female shown here was photographed in December, 1999, at Chan Chich Lodge near Gallon Jug, Belize. The shots were taken with a Canon EOS 3 and EF 300mm F2.8 L lens and 2X extender and flash on Fuji Velvia film.
