The
Stream Bluet (Enallagma exsulans) occurs across most of the eastern United States. Its relatively long, slender abdomen is distinctive in the field. The top shot shown here was taken at Fort Clark Springs, Kinney Co., Texas in September 2004 with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 180 mm F/3.5 macro lens with a 2X extender and 550 EX flash. The next shot, of a female, was taken in Utopia, Uvalde Co., Texas, in May, 2005, with the same equipment.
