The Swamp Bluet (Africallagma glaucum) ranges from central and west Africa into South Africa. The images here of two males and a pair in copula were taken along the edges of a pond near Dullstroom, Mpumalanga Province, South Africa. The shots were taken in January, 2006, with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 300mm F/4 L IS lens and 2X extender with a 580 flash.
