The White-tailed Jackrabbit (Lepus townsendii) occurs across the northern portions of the western United States and much of south central Canada. It lives in open grassy areas from the plains regions to high mountains. The top three shots here were taken at the Pawnee National Grasslands, Weld Co., Colorado, in June, 2007, with a Canon EOS 1D Mark III and EF 600mm F/4 L IS lens and 2X extender.
